Well….it’s that time of year and everyone’s got their lists. Actually, I sheepishly (in a guilty pleasure sort of way) look forward to all of the end of the year “Best Of” music lists. There have been some good ones making the rounds. So, instead of repeating some of the tried and true, here is a list of 2013 releases that flew way beneath the mainstream radar but succeeded in catching my ear. Raise a glass, here’s to great things done in obscurity and done for the love.
I will, of course, let you dig for these releases on your own. Good music requires good work.
